detailing vehicles for the Omaha Police Department, as per attached specifications, for a three year
period. The service requested is for cleaning of Omaha Police Department vehicles that may be soiled
with dirt, mud, blood, vomit, or other conditions that would make the vehicle unusable without thorough
cleaning.
Quotes were received for this service on April 21, 2015, with BJS Fleet Wash submitting the only quote.
A detailed tabulation of the quote is attached and by this reference made a part of this document.
The estimated cost per year is $7,260.00 with an estimated aggregate cost over the three-year period of
$21,780.00. Payment for the detailing services will be made from the Omaha Police Department General
Fund 11111,Organization 113141 Fleet&Facilities,Account 42429 Car&Truck Washes.
The Omaha Police Department recommends approval of this Ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the acceptance of the quote from BJS Fleet Wash for detailing
vehicles for the Omaha Police Department effective upon issuance of a purchase order for
three years, as the only quote received, to authorize payment from appropriations of more
than one fiscal year in the estimated amount of $7,260.00 per year and an estimated
aggregate cost of$21,780.00 over the three-year period, in accordance with the provisions
of Section 5.17, Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a
specific account; and to provide the effective date hereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That the quote from BJS Fleet Wash, effective upon issuance of a purchase
order for three years, based on quotes received for this work on April 21, 2015, is the only quote
received and is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the award of this purchase order is made in accordance with the
provisions of Section 5.17, Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha of 1956, as amended.
Section 3. That such detailing services are for cleaning of Omaha Police Department
vehicles that may be soiled with dirt, mud, blood, vomit, or other conditions that would make the
vehicle unusable without thorough cleaning
Section 4. That payment made for detailing services under the provisions of this purchase
order in the estimated amount of $7,260.00 per year and an estimated aggregate cost of
$21,780.00 over the three-year period, shall be paid from the Omaha Police Department General
Fund 11111, Organization 113141 Fleet& Facilities, Account 42429 Car& Truck Washes.
Section 5. That this Ordinance, being administrative in nature, shall become effective
and be in full force upon the date of passage.
