Ms.Schaap has over eleven years of experience as a project architect, medical planner,and coordinator directly involved in all aspects of
building design from initial proposals for RFPs through construction administration. She has experience with master planning for both
large and small facilities to give clients a plan for future growth. Ms. Schaap works directly with clients to develop their program for
design and as the lead medical planner, develops functional layouts for healthcare facilities. Working with clients through design
charrettes and user group meetings, she creates schematic designs that optimize functional and operational flow and develops those
designs through contract documents,construction administration,and project completion.
Ms.Schaap has significant experience in particular with government medical facilities including Veteran's Affairs,Department of Defense,
and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Medical planning design includes experience in surgical suites, central sterile, primary and
specialty outpatient clinics, inpatient surgery beds and LDRP units, pharmacy, inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities,
emergency departments,diagnostics,and administration. Ms.Schaap is a LEED AP BD+C;understands healthcare and government design
criteria;and has experience with antiterrorism force protection standards.
Technical skills include proposal writing,graphics and design,planning,drafting,specification editing,shop drawing and RFI reviews,
photography and photography editing. Software proficiency includes:Revit,AutoCAD,SketchUp,Adobe InDesign,Photoshop,Illustrator,
Microsoft Office Suite,and Lightroom.
She is familiar and proficient with many computer programs including:

WHEREAS, Section 18-1901, Revised Statutes of Nebraska, 1943, as amended,
and Section 49-106 of the Omaha Municipal Code, provide for the appointment of members of
