The League of Nebraska Municipalities
For a number of years, the City of Omaha has been a member of the League of Nebraska
Municipalities.
The attached Resolution being submitted for your consideration approves the payment of$70,314.00
(Seventy Thousand Three Hundred Fourteen Dollars) for the membership dues for the League of
Nebraska Municipalities from September 1, 2016, through August 31, 2017.
Payment is to be made from 2016 General Fund 11111, General Expense 119014, Account 42852
Membership Dues.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the League of Nebraska Municipalities is a statewide organization
embracing cities and villages in the State of Nebraska for their common good and, in particular,
representation of the interests of said cities and villages before the Nebraska Legislature.; and,
WHEREAS,the City of Omaha should join its sister cities and villages in the State of
Nebraska in supporting the League of Nebraska Municipalities; and,
WHEREAS,it is for the benefit and interest of all the citizens of Omaha that Omaha
belong to this organization.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, the City of Omaha retains its membership in the League of Nebraska
Municipalities and pays its dues in the amount of$70,314.00 to be paid from the 2016 General Fund
11111, General Expense 119014, Account 42852 Membership Dues.
