I am forwarding my CV as requested. As my CV is primarily focused on scholarly and academic achievements, I want to highlight my pre-university experience and accomplishments. Prior to joining UNO in 2007, I spent 20 ye&s as a Human Resources Director for a manufacturing firm in northeast Ohio. When I started with the firm, we operate ee `Manufacturing ilants. During my tenure,we made a number of acquisitions that increased our holdings to a dozen manufacturing and design sites. I served as the HR subject matter expert during due diligence and post-acquisition integration phases. Regrettably, I also have a good deal of experience in plant closures and downsizing processes as we also experienced some downturns in business along the way. I've also overseen green-field start up operations. Approximately half of our facilities were organized by labor unions. I was a key member of a management team who defeated a UAW union organizing attempt at our facility just outside of Detroit, MI. I also served as a primary resource for the managers of our unionized plants when they prepared for collective bargaining negotiations and arbitration proceedings. I compiled financial and historical data to assist them in establishing negotiating terms. I also worked with our union-free facilities in order to help them maintain that status. I was a very active member of the SHRM professional chapter in my home county in Ohio and served on the Board for a number of years. I maintain my professional connections by participating in HRAM meetings and programs here in Omaha. I am certified by both HRCI and SHRM. I was awarded the SHRM Award for Professional Excellence in 1998 by the national association. I have been fortunate to know Dr. Robert Mathis and since his retirement, I have taken over the responsibility for writ ins his well-regarded Hum Resource Management textbook. I also work on an ongoing basis with national S in the development of teaching materials and other content that is available to educators. I trust that my professional expertise and personal dedication and enthusiasm will provide the City of Omaha with additional resources on the Personnel Board. I shall await further word from you after you convey my credentials to the Mayor. Kind regards, Patti Meglich, PhD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP 5/26/2016 VITA Patricia A.
