Attached for your consideration is a Resolution appointing Everett R. Simpson, Jr., to serve a
three-year term as the Master Electrician, affiliated with an Open Shop, member of the Electrical
Board. Mr. Simpson was previously on the Board as a master electrician, affiliated with a union
shop. Mr. Simpson is no longer affiliated with the union. Mr. Simpson's term will commence
on September 15, 2016, and expire on September 14, 2019. A copy of Mr. Simpson's Résumé is
attached for your information.

I have been an electrician for 39 years. I started as an apprentice in 1977
after graduating from Central High School and received my Journeyman's
license in 1980. In 1999 I passed the Electrical Contractors Exam.
- Simpson Electric from 1977 to 1982
- D & J Electric from 1982 to 1990
- Joined John Church Electric as a partner in 1990 to 2004
- Started my own business Butch Simpson Electric in 2004. I
currently have 5 employees.
I have been on the Electrical Board for the past 12 years. I have served as a
Non-Union Electrical Contractor for 9 of those years. In 2013 I joined the
Electrical Union and was appointed to Union Electrical Contractor position.
On March 31, 2016 my Union contract expired and I choose to get out of the
Union.
At this time I would like to put in this application as the Non-Union Electrical
Contractor.
