the City of Omaha, designate "Omaha Blues", written and played by Preston
Love, as the official blues and jazz song of Omaha. This designation is in loving

50. Ord. approving the acceptance of the Omaha Neighborhood Scan Grant, grant
number B-03-SP-NE-0452, in the amount of $268,245.00 from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Economic
Development, providing for funding to support the coordinated and integrated
approach responding to neighborhood maintenance issues such as code
violations and city maintenance. The program requires a coordinated response
by the City of Omaha's Department of Planning, Mayor's Hotline, and the
University of Nebraska at Omaha will utilize this Grant to address citizen
concerns, city code violations and city maintenance obligations; involving
appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home
Rule Charter; providing for payment from a specific account; and, providing for
the effective date hereof- see attached.
