An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor by contract to grant to
the Union Pacific Railway Company and the Burlington and Missouri
River Railroad Company in Nebraska,certain i�=hts and privileges
subject to certain conditions. _
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY nF 0MAT-TA: -
SECTION I.
That the Mayor of the City of Omaha be and hereby is

authhr ized and empowered to enter into an agreement and contract
ith the Union Pacific Railway Company and the Burlington and
Missouri River Railroad Company in Nehraska,wherehy .ib y. in

said city, commencing at or near Jackson Street and •extending to `
or near Mason street , according to such plans as may be adopted b
the Mayor and Council , the same to b„ cons rutted as soon as possi-
ble, and as soon as said Mayor and Council may require, and corn-
plying with the provisions of an ac of the Legislature of the
State of Nehraska, entitled " An act to provide for viaducts, hridg
and tunnels in certain cases, in cities of the first c.l,ass" , approved
