Transmitted herewith is a Resolution authorizing payment to Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. in the
amount of $38,912.00 for the OPD Basement Renovation project for the creation of a room for
Digitally Recorded Evidence Access and Management.
This is a change order to the Public Works Department project OPW 53161, being the Omaha
Police Headquarters Fourth Floor Interview Room Upgrades Project, in the amount of
$149,530.00, that was adopted by City Council Resolution #831 on June 27, 2017.
Funds of $38,912.00 have been appropriated in General Fund 11111, Organization 113141 Fleet
and Facilities, Account 42415 M & R Land, Building, Improvements. The Finance Department is •
authorized to pay the cost from this account.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. submitted a proposal for the Omaha Police
Department Basement Renovation project for the creation of a room for Digitally Recorded
Evidence Access and Management ; and,
WHEREAS, Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. submitted a proposal in the amount of
$38,912.00 for the basement remodel; and,
WHEREAS, this is a change order to the Public Works Department project OPW 53161,
being the Omaha Police Headquarters Fourth Floor Interview Room Upgrades Project, in the
amount of $149,530.00, that was adopted by City Council Resolution #831 on June 27, 201.7;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the authorization and payment for this
project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, payment to Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. in
the amount of $38,912.00, for the Omaha Police Department Basement Renovation project for
the creation of a room for Digitally Recorded Evidence Access and Management, is hereby
accepted and the same hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
THAT, the Finance Department of the City of Omaha is authorized to pay $38,912.00 for
the OPD Basement Renovation project from General Fund 11111, Organization 113141 Fleet
and Facilities, Account 42415 M & R Land, Building, Improvements.

Notes as per discussion 2/8/2018 in regards to OPD Central VR/Work Station Rooms.
VR Room:
-Move new wall out to or under beam as discussed.
-In each corner of the room mounted 8' up from floor
-2 port data box w/I Cat 6 cable
-4 Alex electrical box
-The rooms light switch to be mounted on exterior wall
-Light switch and thermostat should be placed on interior wall of storage area.
Work Station Area:
-Sprinkler heads raised (by City)
-Paint Color(provided by City), Paint both areas and ceilings
-Carpet Tile(same as interview rooms) in both areas
-All new doors shall have rough in for Proxy Card Equipment
-Hvac duct on East wall removed back to closest joint to the wall
-Hvac ends adjusted to fit rooms w/I diffusers
-4 banks of lights(T-5)/each bank to be controlled by individual switch.
-Bank 1(center of room)
-Bank 2 (East wall)
-Bank 3 (North wall)
