Your approval to suspend the curfew at Common Ground Community Center, between 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018, to allow for families to participate in the Overnight Event and overnight security is therefore requested. Respectfully s mitted, Referred to City Council for Consideration: :-\3,AAL te /6- Brook Bench, irecto Date Mayor's Office Date Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department p:2415mtc C-25A CITY OF' OMAHA LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER Omaha,Nebraska RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: WHEREAS, the Director of the Parks, Recreation, and Public Property Department is authorized pursuant to Section 21-1 of the Omaha Municipal Code to establish rules regulating the use of parks within the City of Omaha which become binding provisions of the Omaha Municipal Code upon approval by Resolution of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, various rules have been established including rules specifying closing hours; and, WHEREAS, the Elkhorn High School Olympus Club Overnight will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018m at Common Ground Community Center, 1701 Veterans Drive, Elkhorn, Nebraska; and, WHEREAS, it has been requested that the community center closing hours be suspended between the hours of 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018, to allow families to participate in the Overnight Event and overnight security for this event is therefore requested; and, WHEREAS, the Director of the Parks, Recreation, and Public Property Department has approved the suspension of the community center closing hours on those days only for this event; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended approval of this request.
