OD-7 Agenda Date: Department: Submitter: I CITY OF OMAHA LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER Omaha, Nebraska RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: WHEREAS, the City annually receives HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds HOME) for the purpose of providing affordable housing opportunities benefiting low- and moderate-income residents; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor recommended various projects in the 2017 Consolidated Submission for Community Planning and Development Programs (Consolidated Plan); and, WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2017 Consolidated Plan approved by the City Council on April 18, 2017 by Resolution No. 435, and as amended, which included the Rental Rehabilitation Program; and, WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with the Owner to assist the City in utilizing such HOME funds; and, WHEREAS, this property is located at 3535 North 36th Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska, 68111 which is to be occupied by a qualified low- to moderate-income family whose annual household income that is at or below 80% the Median Income by Family Size; and, WHEREAS, the total estimated project cost is $45,425.00 consisting of $24,500.00 HOME funds which are comprised of$11,000.00 for Rehabilitation Funds and up to $13,500.00 for lead removal and radon work and $20,925.00 in private match funds; and, WHEREAS, this project is in the best interest of the residents of the City of Omaha and those residing therein; and, WHEREAS, the Project is eligible for funding under the FY 2017 HOME Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Program funds, and $24,500.00, as identified above, was allocated to the Project. RESOLUTION NO.gD1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: THAT, the attached Deferred Payment Loan, as recommended by the Mayor, to provide funding in the amount of $24,500.00 for the rehabilitation and lead removal work to the property located at 3535 North 36th Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska, 68111, owned by Brisco Investments LLC, 3724 Fort Crook Road, Bellevue, Nebraska 68123, is hereby approved. Funds in the amount of $24,500.00 shall be paid as follows: FY 2017.
