RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the City of Omaha has been approached by various individuals in North Omaha
owning property along and between Ames Avenue to the north, 25th Avenue to the west, Cuming Street to the
south, and 23rd Street to 20th Street to the east as shown on the attached map; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Omaha is amenable to evaluating the need for a business improvement
district in that area; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to NEB.REV.STAT. §19-4021, it is the intention of the City of Omaha to
appoint the North 24th Street Business Improvement Area Board consisting of property owners, residents,
business operators or users of space within the business area along and between Ames Avenue to the north,
25th Avenue to the west, Cuming Street to the south, and 23rd Street to 20th Street to the east as shown on the
attached map to be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the North 24th Street Business Improvement Area Board will evaluate and make
recommendations to the City Council for the establishment of a plan or plans for a business improvement
district in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the City of Omaha hereby creates the North 24th Street Business Improvement Area
Board which shall consist of five or more members made up of property owners, residents, business operators
or users of space within the North 24th Street Business Improvement Area Board area who will be appointed
by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council; and,
FURTHER THAT, the North 24th Street Business Improvement Area Board area shall include
property owners, residents, business operators or users of space along and between Ames Avenue to the north,
25th Avenue to the west, Cuming Street to the south, and 23rd Street to 20th Street to the east as shown on the
attached map.
