AN ORDINANCE extending the limits of the City of Omaha over certain land in Douglas County,
Nebraska, and incorporating the same into and making the same a part of the City of Omaha and •
to provide the effective date hereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section I. That the corporate limits of the City of Omaha be extended over and that there he
included therein the following described lands in Douglas County, Nebraska, which presently adjoins the
City Limits of the City of Omaha, as it now exists:
• Beginning at a point on the existing City limit line to the City of Omaha, as established
by Ordinance Number 33970, passed August 27, 1996, said point being the Southwest
corner of Lot 71, Rose Garden Estates, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in
Douglas County, Nebraska; thence North 00°06'58" West, a distance of 175.00 feet to a
point on the North right-of-way line of Shirley Street; thence North 89°53'02" East, a
distance of 13.00 feet thence North 00°06'58" West, a distance of 127.00 feet, thence
North 89°53'02" East, a distance of 17.00 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 96 said
addition; thence North 00°06'58" West, a distance of 2d 7.25 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 97 said addition; thence North 09°46'51" West;'a distance of 411.67 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 119 said addition; thence South 84°22'16" West, a distance of
7.32 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 145 said addition; thence South86°08'37" West,
• a distance of 75.51 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 145; thence North 01°51'33"
East, a distance of 117.96 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot -145, said point also
being on the South right-of-way line of Pine Street; thence along said right-of-way line
North 88°08'27" West, a distance of 23.00 feet to a point; thence North 01°51'33" East, a
distance of 170.00 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 146 said addition; thence North
79°3 1'06" East, a distance of 83.74 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 159 said addition;
thence North 13°01'35" West, a distance of 170.00 feet along the West line of said Lot
159 and said line extended, to a point on the North right-of-way line of Woolworth
• Avenue; thence Northeasterly along said North right-of-way line, a distance of 20.06 feet
to the Southwest corner of Lot 160 said addition; thence North 18°48'50" West, a
distance of 130 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 160; thence North 75°06'00"
East, a distance of 45.31 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 160; thence North
48°23'58" East, a distance of 145.95 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 163 said
addition; thence North 54°48'14" East, a distance of 83.10 feet to the Northwest corner of
Lot 164 said addition; thence North 63°40'33" East, along the North line of said Lot 164
and said line extended a distance of 132.63 feet to a point on the East right-of-way line of
172" Street; thence South 26°19'27" East along said right-of-way, a distance of 31.90
feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 165 said addition; thence North 63°40'33" East, a
distance of 130.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 165; thence North 08°54'27"
West along the West line of Lot 210 said addition and said line extended, a distance of
113.15 feet to a point on the North right-of-way line of William Street; thence
Northeasterly along said right-of-way on a curve to the right (Radius 480.66 feet, Chord
Bearing North 85°57'22" East, Chord Distance 81.50 feet), an arc distance of 81.60 feet
to a point of tangency; thence South 89°10'49" East along said right-of-way, a distance of

130.00 feet to a point on the East right-of-way line of 169i1' Street; thence Southeasterly
along said 169'1i Street right-of-way, a distance of 5.21 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot
264 said addition; thence North 85°05'15" East, a distance of 128.54 feet to the Northeast
corner of said Lot 264; thence North along the Westerly line of Lots 234 and 235 said
addition to the Northwest corner of said Lot 235; thence East along the North line of said
Lot 235, a distance of 45.00 feet to its point of intersection with the extended West line of'
Lot I said addition; thence North along said West line and extended West line, a distance
of 235.00 feet to its intersection with the North line of Section 28, Township 15 North,
Range 11 East of the 6'1' P.M., Douglas County, Nebraska; continuing Northerly along
said extended West line of Lot 1 to its intersection within the North right-of-way line of
Pacific Street; thence Westerly along said North right-of-way line to its intersection with
the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 21, Township 15 North, Range 11 East, of
the 611' P.M., Douglas County, Nebraska; thence South along said West line, to the
Southwest corner of said Southeast '/; thence South along the West line of the Northeast
1/4 of said Section 28, to the Southwest corner of said Northeast 114; thence East along
the South line of said Northeast 1/4,to the Southwest corner of said Lot 71, Rose Garden
Estates Addition, said point being the point of beginning.
A map of the area is attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by this reference made a part of
this Ordinance. The land to be annexed is marked thereon, but said map is for convenience and, in case
of discrepancy, the description in this Section shal I be controlling. The said territory upon the taking
effect of this Ordinance shall be and become incorporated into, merged in, and be a part of the City of
Omaha,Nebraska, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof and to its laws and ordinances.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect August 22nd 2011.

Section 3. That pursuant to NEB REV STAT §14-201.03 (Cum. Supp.2006) and NEB REV
STAT § 32-553 et. seq. (Reissue 2004), the lands annexed by the City of Omaha as described in Section 1
above shall be assigned to Omaha City Council District No. 6.
