At the request of the Mayor, attached for your consideration is a Resolution reappointing Dennis
Van Moorleghem as the General Representative Member of the Building Board of Review.
Mr. Van Moorleghem's term expires December 27, 2019. Mr. Van Moorleghem's three-year
term will begin December 28, 2019 and expire December 27, 2022. A copy of his Candidate
Response Form and resume is attached. •

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 43-53 of the Omaha Municipal Code provides for the appointment of
members to the Building Board of Review; and,
WHEREAS, the term of Dennis Van Moorleghem as the General Representative Member of
the Building Board of Review expires December 27, 2019; and, •
WHEREAS, Mayor Jean Stothert has reappointed Dennis Van Moorleghem as the General
Representative Member of the Building Board of Review, said term to commence on December 28, 2019,
and to expire three years thereafter on December 27, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the reappointment by Mayor Jean Stothert of Dennis Van Moorleghem as the General
Representative Member of the Building Board of Review, said term to commence on December 28, 2019,
and to expire three years thereafter on December 27, 2022, is hereby confirmed.

Denny Van Moorleghem Regency Homes
Started in homebuilding as a trim carpenter in 1969. Then worked in all area of the new home
process as a Draftsman/Designer, Superintendent, Customer Service Representative, Estimator,
Project Manager, General Manager and now serves as the President of Regency Homes.
Is the Designated Real Estate Broker for the Regency Homes.
Is active in the Metropolitan Omaha Homebuilders Association and the National Association of
Homebuilders and has been active in the State of Nebraska Homebuilders Association. Is a
member of the MOBA Legislative Affairs Committee,the Builders.Council, and the Builders of
the Future (non-profit that provides scholarships for those planning a career in home building or
the trades).
Has been inducted into the MOBA hall of fame in 2015.
Is a currently a member City of Omaha Building Board of Review
Has been voted Omaha Builder of the Year, State of Nebraska Builder of the Year, Developer of
the Year and Best Marketing Director in Omaha.
Has a Bachelor of Construction Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is has
attained the distinction of becoming a CSP (Certified Sales Professional) and has been certified
to teach the CSP courses by the National Association of Homebuilders.
