Public Works Director
Public Works has inspected the project area and found that the following
justification exists for ordering the street be repaired without petition:
• This improvement has been requested by property owners
representing 58.11%of the abutting property. The estimated cost
of this work is $47,000.00; all costs are assessable to the district.
This Resolution authorizes the City Clerk to publish a brief notice to each of the
owners of taxable property within the said Roadway Maintenance District.
The Public Works Department requests your consideration and approval of this
Resolution.

To the owners of all lots,lands,tracts and
parcels of land within Roadway Maintenance
District No.746-18 and to all owners of prop-
erty abutting on Camden Avenue from 81st
1 Street to 84th Street
Notice is hereby given that the Improve-
ment of Camden Avenue from 81st Street to
84th Street within Roadway Maintenance
District No.746-18 by the placement of an
asphalt overlay and associated work was or-
dered on December 5, 1995 by the City 1
Council.Owners of taxable property within
said district are hereby notified that they
may, by petition of a majority of taxable
front footage ht said district, within thirty
days from the date of the first publication of
this notice,designate tin material with which
such improvement shad be constructed.
Owners of taxable property abutting the
Improvement are hereby notified that they
may,by petition of 51%of the taxable front
footage abuttkng the Improvement wkhln

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,Roadway Maintenance District No.745-18,being Camden Avenue from
81st Street to 84th Street,was created by Ordinance No. 33676, passed on the 31st day of October,
1995; and,
WHEREAS, the interested property owners have requested and the Public Works
Director has recommended that the said District be repaired by the placement of an asphalt overlay
and associated work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the proposed repair, as recommended by the Public Works Director, shall be
constructed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Clerk be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to publish in the
official newspaper of the City a brief notice of the proposed repair, stating the character of the repair
proposed to be constructed with the said Roadway Maintenance District No. 745-18, being Camden
Avenue from 81st Street to 84th Street, and informing the owners of the accepted taxable property
of the following lots which they have:
The owners of taxable property ABUTTING the proposed repair may,
by petition of fifty-one percent (51%) of said taxable front footage
abutting the repair area, protest against the construction of such
project by signing same within thirty (30) days from the first
publication of such notice.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the City shall mail a copy of such notice to each of the owners of, and others
having a direct legal interest in, the taxable property within the said Roadway Maintenance District
No. 745-18 within five (5) days of the date of such publication and shall file an affidavit of such
mailing in the Office of the City Clerk within ten (10) days.after the mailing is done.
