That Street Improvement District No. 6851 is hereby created in the City of Omaha for the improvement of: 49th Street from Poppleton Avenue to William Street Section 2. That Street Improvement District No. 6851, shall comprise 49th Street from Poppleton Avenue to William Street and shall include: Lot 7, Lot 8, Lot 9, Lot 10, Lot 11, Lot 12, Lot 13, Lot 14, Lot 15, Lot 16, Lot 17, Lot 18,Block 15, West Side, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and Lot 1, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and Lot 2, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and East 45 feet Lot 7, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and Lot 8, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and Lot 9, 1/2 vacated alley adjacent and Lot 10, Block 16, West Side. Omaha/Douglas Civic Center 1819 Farnam Street,Suite 601 Omaha,Nebraska 68183-0601 This project is being submitted following a postcard survey of the property (402)444-5220 owners adjacent to this street wherein a majority (51.6%)have expressed initial Telefax(402)444-5248 interest in pursuing the paving improvement. This project may include the Michael J.DeSelm,P.E. construction of a retaining wall. The total estimated cost of this project with the Director retaining wall is $65,200.00 of which a maximum of $42,700.00 would be assessed to the District. The remaining $22,500.00 plus anything above $42,700.00 would be paid by the City for intersections and related work, including the retaining wall. If the retaining wall does not need to be constructed, the total estimated construction cost of this project would be reduced to $53,500.00 of which $31,000.00 would be assessed to the District with the remaining$22,500.00 paid by the City for intersections and related work. The Public Works Department has made an inspection of the above street and recommends that the District be created in accordance with Section 26-25 of the Omaha Municipal Code and Chapter 14, Article 3.102 of the 1943 R.R.S. of Nebraska.
