ORD 33707 - Amend section 23-381 of municipal code re group term life insurance • • • ORDINANCE NO. 3 377 1 AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 23-381 of the Omaha Municipal Code, entitled "Group term 2 life insurance.";to provide life insurance for police management(Class D)shall be increased 3 from$25,000 to $45,000;to repeal Section 23-381 as heretofore existing; and to provide the 4 effective date hereof 5 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: 6 Section 1. That Section 23-381 of the Omaha Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 7 Sec. 23-381. Group term life insurance. 8 Each employee in the classified service shall receive group term life 9 insurance benefits as follows: 10 (a) Employees within the civilian management classifications 11 (Class A) shall receive forty thousand dollars ($40,000)term 12 life insurance. 13 (b) Employees within the administrative executive classifications 14 (Class AA)shall receive forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) 15 term life insurance. 16 (c) Employees within the fire management classifications (Class 17 C) shall receive twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) 18 term life insurance. 19 (d) Employees within the police management classification 20 (Class D)shall receivetwerity-five-thettstutti-elellars ) , 21 forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000)term life insurance. 22 (e) Employees within the functional classification (Class EE) 23 shall receive twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) term life 24 insurance. 25 Section 2. That Section 23-381 of the Omaha Municipal Code as heretofore existing is 26 hereby repealed. ORDINANCE NO. 3,37(27 Page 2 1 Section 3.
