Attached for your consideration is a Resolution reappointing Pastor Stephen C.
Griffith to serve as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board. Pastor
Griffith will be reappointed to a term that will expire on March 24, 1999. The
Resolution has been requested by Councilmember Lormong Lo, who is
nominating Pastor Griffith pursuant to Section 13-125 (b) of the Omaha
Municipal Code. A copy of Pastor Griffith's resume is attached for your
information.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 13-123 of the Omaha Municipal Code created and.established
a Civil Rights Hearing Board; and,
WHEREAS, the term of Pastor Stephen C.Griffith as an at large member of the Civil
Rights Hearing Board will expire March 24, 1996; and,
WHEREAS, Section 13-125(b) of the Omaha Municipal Code empowers each
Councilmember in turn to nominate a candidate as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing
Board; and,
WHEREAS, Councilmember Lormong Lo, representing Council District One, has
determined to nominate Pastor Stephen C.Griffith for reappointment as an at large member of the
Civil Rights Hearing Board,to serve a term commencing March 25, 1996, and expiring three years•
later.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the nomination and appointment by Councilmember Lormong Lo of Pastor
Stephen C. Griffith as an at large member of the Civil Rights Hearing Board to serve a term
commencing March 25, 1996, and expiring March 24, 1999, be and hereby is confirmed and
approved.
