Director/A) Approved: Referred to the City Council for Consider ion: 4S2 , r . \ 2..r.,C22---)_, Louis A. rcole • Mayor's Office/Title Acting Finance Director P:\PW\1829.MAF 4 • SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 9ff9a A SPECIAL ORDINANCE LEVYING A SPECIAL TAX AND ASSESSMENT ON ALL LOTS AND PIECES OF REAL ESTATE WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 6847 IN THE CITY OF OMAHA, TO COVER THE COST OF GRADING, CURBING AND PAVING WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE FROM 72ND STREET TO STATE STREET AND 75TH STREET FROM WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE TO STATE STREET. WHEREAS: It having been,and being hereby adjudged,determined and established that the several lots and pieces of real estate hereinafter referred to have each been specially benefited to the full amount herein levied and assessed against each of said lots and pieces of real estate,respectively, by reason of the grading, curbing and paving of that part of World Communications Drive from 72nd Street to State Street and 75th Street from World Communications Drive to State Street. THEREFORE, for the purpose of paying the cost of said improvements, s BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: SECTION 1. That said special taxes levied aforesaid on said lots respectively, shall become delinquent as follows: Where the individual assessment exceeds One-Hundred Dollars, one-tenth of the total amount so levied on each of said lots shall become delinquent in fifty days from the passage and approval of this ordinance; one-tenth in one year; one-tenth in two years; one-tenth in three years; one-tenth in four years; one-tenth if five years; one-tenth in six years; one-tenth in seven l years; one-tenth in eight years; one-tenth in nine years after said levy, and being from the passage and approval of this ordinance. Each of said installments, except the first, shall draw interest at the rate of 5.75 percent per annum from the time of the levy aforesaid, until the same shall become delinquent. Where the individual assessment is One-Hundred Dollars or less the total amount shall become delinquent fifty days from and after the passage and approval of this Ordinance. Interest at the rate of fourteen percent per annum, as provided by State law,payable in advance, shall be paid on each delinquent installment, or on each delinquent assessment of One-Hundred Dollars or less. SECTION 3. That the entire amount of tax so levied and assessed on any of said lots, or the entire equal pro-rate proportion of said tax on any of said lots may be paid by any person on any part of said lots within fifty days from said levy and,thereupon, said lots or parts of lots shall be exempt from any lien or charge thereto. ;Y' ,: , ,0 41 , f SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 919a SECTION 4. That this Special Ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its passage and be in force thereafter.
