Transmitted herewith is a Bid Tabulation and a Resolution authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue
a purchase order to Midlands International Trucks, Inc. for 31,000 G.V.W. truck chassis and cabs
used by the Street Maintenance Division for street repair and snow/ice operations.
The following bids were received on December 11, 1996.

MIDLANDS INTERNATIONAL TRUCKS, INC. $39,900.00 (LOW BID)
Sapp Bros. Trucks, Inc. 43,503.00
Omaha Truck Center 44,965.00
At the time of the preparation of this award document, these truck chassis and cabs are scheduled
to replace equipment numbers 3-64, 3-65, 3-66, 3-67 and 3-181, all of which are older than ten years
and which have high usage and maintenance costs.
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form(CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of these truck purchases from the Street
Maintenance Fund 103, Organization 1422.
The Administrative Services Department recommends the acceptance of the bids received from
Midlands International Trucks,Inc. in the amount of$39,900.00 each being the lowest and best bid

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bids were received on December 11, 1996, for the purchase of five
31,000 G.V.W. truck chassis and cabs for use by the Street Maintenance Division for street repair
and snow/ice control operations; and, `
WHEREAS,Midlands International Trucks,Inc.submitted a bid of$39,900.00,being
the lowest and best bid received for the purchase of these sized equipment.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, the bid of$39,900.00 from Midlands International Trucking, Inc., for the
purchase of five 31,000 G.V.W. truck chassis and cab for use by the Street Maintenance Division,
being the lowest and best bid received be accepted and the Purchasing Agent is authorized to issue
a purchase order therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of the purchase of these
truck chassis and cab for use by the Street Maintenance Division Fund 103, Organization 1422.
