RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1997 a resolution of the City Council approved an
Agreement with James A. Nichols, a corporation, to provide professional consulting services for
City Police Air Support Unit; and,
WHEREAS, the Consultant, James A. Nichols, has advised members of the City
Council that he has completed his contractual obligations and the assigned tasks will be completed
by July 31,1997; and,
WHEREAS,the Consultant has advised members of the City Council that the assigned
Air Unit pilots and managers are fully proficient and ready to assume their helicopter patrol duties
safely and efficiently; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council, accepting such advice, agrees to conclude such contract
on July 31, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, such conclusion will end such contract after four months with a reduction
of cost by $40,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as the City of Omaha and James A. Nichols mutually agree to conclude the
contract with James A.Nichols,for professional consulting services for City Police Air Support Unit,
effective on July 31, 1997 resulting in a reduction of the amount of said contract by $40,000 to an
adjusted total price of$95,000.
