Transmitted herewith is a Bid Tabulation and a Resolution authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue
a purchase order to Bert Gurney and Associates on the bid for the purchase of a 75 HP pump and
manufacturer's services for the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The following bids were received on June 26, 1997.
Contractor Total Bid
HTM Sales $14,850.00
CTI Sales $16,572.00
BERT GURNEY AND ASSOCIATES $16,618.00 (RECOMMENDED BID)
Electric Pump $17,533.64
Briggs, Inc. $20,000.00
The Public Works Department recommends the award to Bert Gurney and Associates, the third bid
received. The low bidder,HTM Sales did not comply with specifications in that they did not bid a
Fairbanks Morse pump. The second low bidder, CTI Sales,also did not comply with specifications
in that the pump efficiency was to be 83%. They bid 80% efficiency.
A copy of the bid documents is on file and available for inspection and review in the City Clerk's
Office.
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of a 75 HP pump and manufacturer's services
for the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant from the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment
Plant Maintenance Organization 1473, Fund 541.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,bids were received on June 26, 1997 for the purchase of a 75,HP pump
and manufacturer's services for Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant; and,
WHEREAS, Bert Gurney and Associates submitted a bid of$16,618.00, being the
lowest and best bid received within the bid specifications for the purchase of a 75 HP pump and
manufacturer's services for the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT,the bid of$16,618.00 from Bert Gurney and Associates for the purchase of
a 75 HP pump and manufacturer's services for the Papillion Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant,being
the lowest and best bid received within the bid specifications, be accepted and the purchase order be
issued.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the Purchasing Agent be authorized to issue a purchase order to Bert Gurney
and Associates for the purchase of a 75 HP pump and manufacturer's services for the Papillion Creek
Wastewater Treatment Plant.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED:
