The attached Resolution approves the contract with Ronco Construction Company,as recommended
by the Mayor, for STP 5521 being original administration building renovation at the Missouri River
Wastewater Treatment Plan.
The following bids were received on October 8, 1997. Engineer's Estimate- $97,828.00; a detailed
bid tabulation is attached.
Contractor Total Bid
Ronco Construction Company $86,400.00 (LOW BID)
Prairie Construction Company $90,500.00
Rife Construction, Inc. $99,966.00
K.C. Petersen Construction Company $109,900.00
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form(CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of STP 5521 from the Sanitary Sewer
Improvement Organization 1485, Fund 544.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Ronco Construction
Company, in the amount of$86,400.00, being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your
consideration and approval of this Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bids were received on October 8, 1997, for STP 5521 being original
administration building renovation at the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant; and,
WHEREAS,Ronco Construction Company submitted a bid of$86,400.00,being the
lowest and best bid received for STP 5521.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT,the bid of$86,400.00 from Ronco Construction Company for STP 5521 being
original administration building renovation at the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant, being
the lowest and best bid received,be accepted the contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the contract with Ronco Construction Company, as recommended by the
Mayor, in the amount of$86,400.00, is hereby approved.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of STP 5521 from the
Sanitary Sewer Improvement Organization 1485,Fund 544.
