The attached Resolution approves the contract with Eriksen Construction Company, Inc., as
recommended by the Mayor,for STP 5523,being Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant South
Inlet Grit Improvements.
The following bids were received on November 12, 1997.
Engineer's Estimate: $695,000.00; a detailed bid tabulation is attached.
Contractor Total Base Bid
ERIKSEN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. $630,000.00 (LOW BID)
Oakview Construction, Inc. $658,600.00
W. Boyd Jones Construction Company $754,400.00
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of STP 5523 from the Sanitary Sewer
Improvement Organization 1485, Fund 544. These monies will be paid out of 1997 funds.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Eriksen Construction
Company,Inc., in the amount of$630,000.00,being the lowest and best bid received, and requests
your consideration and approval of this Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,bids were received on November 12, 1997 for STP 5523,being Missouri
River Wastewater Treatment Plant South Inlet Grit Improvements; and,
WHEREAS,Eriksen Construction Company,Inc. submitted a bid of$630,000.00,
being the lowest and best bid received for STP 5523.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the bid of$630,000.00 from Eriksen Construction Company,Inc. for STP
5534,being Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant South Inlet Grit Improvements ,being the
lowest and best bid received be accepted and the contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the contract with Eriksen Construction Company,Inc.,as recommended by
the Mayor, in the amount of$630,000.00, is hereby approved.
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of STP 5523 from the
Sanitary Sewer Improvement Organization 1485,Fund 544.
