ORD 34062 - Amend section 53-3 of municipal cod re review period for subdivision pre-application plans ORDINANCE NO. / D Co 1 AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 53-5, "Pre-application plans and data", of the Omaha 2 Municipal Code; regarding the review period for subdivision pre-application plans, and to 3 provide for the effective date hereof. 4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: 5 Section 1. Section 53-5, "Pre-application plans and data", of the Omaha Municipal Code is 6 hereby amended to read as follows: 7 Sec. 53-5. Pre-application plans and data. 8 Not less than forty-five(45)days before a planning board hearing 9 the subdivider shall submit to the 10 planning department plans and data in sketch form showing his ideas and intentions 11 in the platting of the proposed subdivision. The sketch plan shall include: 12 (a) A proposed layout of streets, lots and other features in relation to existing 13 streets, utilities,topography and other conditions. 14 (b) A general location map showing the proposed subdivision and its relationship 15 to existing abutting subdivisions and community facilities in the area, such 16 as streets, alleys, schools, parks, commercial areas and other data 17 supplementing the plans which outline or describe all of the proposed 18 development as it relates to existing conditions. 19 20 21 , 22 submitted meet the objectives of these regulations and shall describe any 23 inconsistencies with the requirements of this chapter. 24 These pre-application plans shall not require a formal application or fee. After 25 discussion with the subdivider and review of the data the planning director shall 26 consult with the public works and parks directors and,within ten(10) days, inform 27 the subdivider whether: 28 Laj. the proposal meets the requirements of the regulations: 29 (b) there are any inconsistencies with the objectives of the master plan; ' ti ORDINANCE NO. 3 /O PAGE 2 1 f the proposal can be submitted as a minor plat: and, 2 1 j) it is appropriate to request any waivers of the submittal documents, design 3 standards or public improvements. 4 Section 2. Section 53-5 of the Omaha Municipal Code, as heretofore existing, is hereby 5 repealed. 6 Section 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective fifteen(15) days from and after its 7 passage.
