Omaha Municipal Code § 10-103 requires all proposals and bids submitted to the City, which are
valued at$20,000.00 or more, to be accompanied by bid security. § 10-103 states that a certified
check, an official bank check, a cashier's check, lawful money order, American currency, or a
bid bond are all acceptable forms of bid security.
Section 10-110 of the Omaha Municipal Code provides that "Within ten (10) days after a bid is
rejected, any rejected bidder may appeal to the City Council by filing with the City Clerk a
written objection stating all reasons for the objection."
