The attached Ordinance is prepared at the request of the City Council.
The Ordinance transfers $10,000 from the General Fund Contingency Reserve Account to the
Community Service Programs Account, for the purpose of providing funding to All Our Kids, Inc.
the Midlands Mentoring Partnership.

AN ORDINANCE in'accordance with Section 5.10 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha,
1956;as amended,to transfer$50,000.00 in the 1997 Budget of the City of Omaha from the
General Fund Contingency Reserve Account to the Community Service Programs Account;
and to fix the effective date hereof to be immediately upon passage in accordance with •
Section 2.12 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. The following transfer of unencumbered funds is hereby made between balances
in the following departments,divisions and other budgetary accounts in the 1997 Budget of the City
of Omaha:

Councilmembers Paul Koneck and Lee Terry request that the Law Department
coordinate as necessary with the Finance Department to prepare a Fund Transfer
Ordinance to appear on the December 9, 1997 City Council Agenda. The Fund Transfer
Ordinance will move $30,000 from the 1997 Contingency Reserve Account to
Community Service Programs, Organization#1828, Fund #001, for the purpose of
providing funding to All Our Kids, Inc. -the Midlands Mentoring Partnership.
This $30,000 is in addition to the $20,000 provided to All Our Kids, Inc., the 1998
approved City budget.
The Law Department should be responsible for insuring the appropriate coordination is
made with the Finance Department and City Clerk's Office to insure appearance on the
December 9, 1997 City Council Agenda.
