Transmitted herewith is a Resolution accepting the attached Negotiator's Report submitted by Judi
Sorensen, on behalf of the Public Works Department made in accordance with Necessity Ordinance
No. 34413, passed January 6, 1998, declaring the necessity of appropriating and acquiring certain
private property for the purpose of replacing the Dahlman Avenue Bridge at "B" Street, known as
City Project 93-14, Federal Aid Project BRM-5063(2).
The Negotiator, Judi Sorensen,was successful in acquiring one parcel of improved land required for
the project for the total negotiated amount of$25,000.00.
In addition, Federal Law requires that the City make a last resort housing payment of$36,100.00 to
allow the seller to purchase a comparable decent, safe, and sanitary home.
The cost of the improved parcel of land and replacement housing negotiated shall be paid from the
1993 Street and Highway Bond, HR 3299 #3, Organization 1509, Fund 324.
The Public Works Department requests your consideration and recommends your approval of this
Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,Judi Sorensen,Negotiator on behalf of the Public Works Department,
has submitted to the City Council a Negotiator's Report, attached, in accordance with Necessity
Ordinance No. 34413,passed January 6, 1998,declaring the necessity of appropriating and acquiring
certain private property for the purpose of replacing the Dahlman Avenue Bridge at "B" Street,
known as City Project 93-14,Federal Aid Project BRM-5063(2); and,
WHEREAS,the report shows that the Negotiator,Judi Sorensen,was successful in
negotiating and acquiring one(1) parcel of improved land required for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT,the Negotiator's Report of Judi Sorensen made in accordance with Necessity
Ordinance No. 34413 be and hereby is approved.
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of acquisition for the
negotiated parcels of land and relocation payment in the amount of$61,100.00 from the 1993 Street
and Highway Bond,HR-3299 #3, Organization 1509,Fund 324.
