Transmitted herewith is a BID TABULATION and a RESOLUTION authorizing the Purchasing
Agent to issue a Purchase Order to United Seed Inc. for 35,000 lbs. of rye grass seed to be used by
the Golf Division of the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department.
The Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department recommends acceptance of the bid from
United Seeds Inc. in the amount of $28,857.50 as the lowest and best bid received, within bid
specifications.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of the seed in the amount of$20,612.50 from
the 1998 Golf Division Fund 510, Agency 120, and Organization 1252, Golf Operations and
$8,245.00 from the 1998 Golf Division Fund 510, Agency 120, and Organization 1255, Golf
Revenue.
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is city
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from
United Seeds Inc. in the total amount of$28,857.50 for 35,000 lbs. of rye grass seed being the lowest
and best bid received, within the bid specifications, attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
request your consideration and approval of this Resolution.
