The attached Resolution approves the contract with Swain Construction, Inc., as recommended by
the Mayor, for Special Project 98-2 being structural ceiling joint systems at various locations.
The following bids were received on March 4, 1998. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

Western Waterproofing $ 71,870.02
The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form(CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of Special Project 98-2 from the Bridge
Maintenance Rehabilitation Organization 1442, Street and Highway Allocation Fund 103.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Swain Construction,Inc.,
in the amount of$68,510.00,being the lowest and best bid received,and requests your consideration
and approval of this Resolution.
