The attached Resolution authorizes S.I.D.No. 415,Westin Hills,to expend, for park improvements,
an amount not to exceed $177,030.00, including soft costs, and to accept the bid of Swain
Construction Company to provide these improvements. Approval will result in park improvements
generally consisting of a concrete trail, installation of round rail fence, landscaping, seeding and
signage.
Improvements to this park were authorized by the parks and Recreation Advisory Board on February
3, 1997. On July 27, 1997,the City Council, approved a Subdivision Agreement, authorizing S.I.D.
No. 415 to expend, for park improvement purposes, including soft costs, an amount not to exceed
$177,030.00.
Therefore, the Parks, Recreation and Public.Property Department recommends approving the bid
from Swain Construction for park improvement costs to S.I.D.No. 415, Westin Hills, in an amount
not to exceed $177,030.00, including soft costs. Your favorable consideration is requested.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,by prior Resolution the City Council approved a Subdivision Agreement
between The City of Omaha,Celebrity Home Inc. and Sanitary and Improvement District(S.I.D.)
No. 415 concerning the public improvements to be constructed in Westin Hills,a subdivision located
southwest of 144th and Fort Streets; and,
WHEREAS, This Subdivision Agreement authorized park and recreational
improvements to be constructed on the property authorized to be acquired as Linear Transportation
Corridor(Outlots "A" and"B"); and,
WHEREAS,the City Council on July 15, 1997, approved a Subdivision Agreement
authorizing S.I.D. to expend for park improvements an amount not to exceed$177,030.00; and,
WHEREAS,park improvements were approved by the Park and Recreation Board;
and,
WHEREAS, bids for park and recreational improvements were received by the
District's Engineers on September 25, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, the City authorizes SID No. 415, Western Hills, to expend, for park
improvements,an amount not to exceed$177,030.00,including soft costs,and the City approves the
bid of Swain Construction Company to provide these improvements..
WHEREAS,the Mayor has recommended acceptance of this bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT,as recommended by the Mayor, park improvement costs in the not to exceed
amount of$177,030.00, including soft costs, for the base bid for park improvements in Sanitary
Improvement District No. 415,Westin Hills,are hereby approved.
FURTHER THAT,these costs incurred by S.I.D.No. 415 to improve this public park
are a 100% obligation of the S.I.D.
