The document before you is a Modification to our Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Grant
Agreement between the City of Omaha, grant recipient for the Greater Omaha SDA, and the
Nebraska Department of Labor, Division of Job Training for the PY '97 (July 1, 1997 - June 30,
1998) Title II-A and Title III Plans.
This modification is a result of a transfer of$193,130 from the Title II-A to the Title III-F program,
and, an additional allotment of$100,000 for Title II-F. As a result of these changes, Title II-A
funding for July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998, has deceased from $965,648 to $772,518.
Title III-F funding for July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998, has increased from $457,194 to
$750,324.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,the geographic area covered by this grant includes Douglas, Sarpy, and
Washington counties; and,
WHEREAS,the City of Omaha previously entered into a grant agreement with the
State of Nebraska under the Job Training Partnership Act(JTPA)for PY'97(July 1, 1997 -June 30,
1998); and,
WHEREAS, under said grant, the City of Omaha/Job Training of Greater Omaha
(JTGO)administers a variety of employment programs in Douglas, Sarpy,and Washington counties,
including the employment and training of economically disadvantaged and dislocated workers under
Title II-A and Title III-F of the JTPA; and,
WHEREAS,JTGO requested and was granted a transfer of Title II-A funds to Title
III-F in the amount of$193,130 and an additional allotment of$100,000 for Title III-F; and,
WHEREAS,the attached constitutes a modification to the original grant to reflect the
changes made thereunder; and,
WHEREAS,the Mayor recommends approval of this grant modification.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, the attached grant modification to the original grant between the Nebraska
Department of Labor,Job Training Division,and the City of Omaha/Job Training of Greater Omaha
to reduce Title II-A allocations by $193,130 and to transfer Title II-A funds in the amount of
$193,130 to Title III-F and an additional allotment of$100,000 to Title III-F is hereby approved.
