The attached Resolution approves the contract with Swain Construction, as recommended by the
Mayor, for Special Project 98-17, being Oakview Mall Street Improvements.
The following bids were received on October 14, 1998. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of Special Project 98-17 from the Street
Improvement Organization 1444, Street and Highway Allocation Fund 103.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Swain Construction, in
the amount of$117,627.00,being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your consideration
and approval of this Resolution.

THAT,the bid of$117,627.00 from Swain Construction for Special Project 98-17,
being Oakview Mall street improvements,being the lowest and best bid received be accepted and
the contract be awarded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT,the contract with Swain Construction,as recommended by the Mayor, in the
