RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Sections 2-171 through 2-187,Division 2, Article IV, Chapter 2 of the
Omaha Municipal code, provides for the appointment of members to the Administrative Appeals
Board; and,
WHEREAS,Robert A. Dean was appointed to serve on the Administrative Appeals
Board for a term which will expire on March 17, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Sections 2-177, .Division 2, Article IV, Chapter 2 of the Omaha
Municipal code, provides for the removal of any member of the administrative appeals board for
cause by the Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing is being held today for the removal of Robert A. Dean
as a member of the Administrative Appeals Board for lack of attendance; and,
WHEREAS,with the approval of the City Council of the removal of Robert A. Dean,
there now exist a vacancy on the Administrative Appeals Board; and
WHEREAS,Mayor Hal Daub has appointed Mark Roseland to serve the remainder
of the unexpired term, said term to commence upon confirmation by the City Council and expire
March 17, 2000.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT,the appointment by Mayor Hal Daub of Mark Roseland as a member of the
Administrative Appeal Board to serve the unexpired portion of the term of Robert A.Dean is hereby
confirmed; and the removal of Robert A. Dean from the said Board is hereby confirmed. Mr.
Roseland's term will commence on the date of confirmation by the City Council and expire on
March 17,2000, is hereby confirmed.
