Transmitted herewith is a Resolution authorizing the acceptance of the quotation from Bickford
Custom Cabinets in the amount of$15,529.00 for Group Worden(end panels).
The following proposal was received relative to the above mentioned survey:

In accord with the provisions of Section 5.16 Home Rule Charter, when no bid is received in
response to the bid request,the City Council may,by resolution, authorize the Purchasing Division
to issue a purchase order for the work. The Administrative Services Department recommends
accepting the proposal of Bickford Custom Cabinets. The Administrative Services Department
requests your consideration and approval of this Resolution.
Funds of$15,529.00 have been appropriated in the Library Facilities Fund 329, Organization 1695,
Agency 160. The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost from this account.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS,bids were received on April 29, 1998, for interior furnishings at Benson
Branch Library; and,
WHEREAS, the City received no bids for Group W (end panels); and,
WHEREAS,the Administrative Services Department thereafter solicited price quotes
from vendors for such groupings; and,
WHEREAS,on October 26, 1998,Bickford Custom Cabinets submitted the only such
quote in the amount of$15,529.00 for furnishing Group Worden (end panels); and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends acceptance of this bid and approval of a
purchase order therefor, in accord with the provisions of Section 5.16, Home Rule Charter.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT,the bid in the total amount of$15,529.00 for Bickford Custom Cabinets, for
interior furnishings at the Benson Branch Library, for Group Worden (end panels), is hereby
accepted and the Purchasing Agent is authorized to issue a purchase order therefore. The Finance
