RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, on January 6, 1999, the Ninety-Sixth Legislature of the State of
Nebraska, First Session, will convene; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Omaha and its residents-that a
legislative package be,prepared for submission to the State Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this resolution to approve a specific proposal for
inclusion in that package.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, pursuant to the recommendation of the Legislative Committee of the City
Council, the legislative package of the City of Omaha for the First Session of the Ninety-Sixth
Legislature of the State of Nebraska shall include a proposal to amend existing statutes to permit the
city treasurer of a city of the metropolitan class to credit interest on the money of such city to funds
of such city other than its sinking fund.
