The attached Ordinance provides for amendments to the pay plan for the Functional Employee
Group.
The current pay plan is being deleted and the new pay plan for the years 1998, 1999, and 2000 is
being added. Below are the increase percentages for each year.
1998 1.5%
1999 3.0%
2000 3.0%
The increases proposed are retroactive to the beginning of the payroll year, December 28, 1997.
The attached ordinance is to be submitted to the City Personnel Board at the January 29, 1998,
meeting.

1 AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 23-178 of the Omaha Municipal Code concerning pay range schedule
2 by amending Part N of that section entitled Hourly Pay: Functional Positions; to repeal Section
3 23-178 as heretofore existing; and to provide the effective date hereof.
4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
5 Section 1.Due to the length of the effected ordinance, Omaha City Council Rule VII(B)requiring
6 amending ordinances to recite the entire section is hereby waived solely for the purposes of this ordinance
7 and only the lined out material to be deleted and the underlined material to be added shall be recited herein.
8 Section 2. Section 23-178 of the Omaha Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Part N of
9 that section entitled Hourly Pay: Functional Positions as follows:
