RES 2023-0462 - Purchase and Payment to Galls LLC for (164) Ballistic Vest Systems, Helmets, and Face Shields for the OFD RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the Omaha Fire Department desires to enter into a purchase
agreement with Galls, LLC for 164 Ballistic Vest Systems; and,
WHEREAS, Galls, LLC submitted a quote in the amount of one hundred seventy-
seven thousand four hundred and twenty-eight dollars and thirty-two cents ($177,428.32) for the
purchase of 164 Ballistic Vest Systems, including helmets and face shields; and,
WHEREAS, Galls, LLC's submitted quote is made pursuant to Nebraska State
Contract #15032 OC, with said contract pricing resulting from competitive bids secured by the
State of Nebraska, and represents the best available current price for Ballistic Vest Systems,
including helmets and face shields; and,
WHEREAS, cooperative procurement is permitted pursuant to Omaha Municipal
Code Sec. 10-111; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended acceptance of this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the purchase from Galls, LLC in the amount
of $177,428.32 of 164 Ballistic Vest Systems, including helmets and face shields, which
represents Nebraska State Contract#15032 OC bid pricing, is hereby approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Mayor is authorized to execute any
further agreements necessary in line with this Resolution, and the Finance Department is
authorized to pay Galls, LLC the amount of$177,428.32 from the City Capital Improvement Fund
13112, Organization 131555, as itemized above.

WHEREAS, the Lead State Oklahoma has a Contract with the Contractor identified as Contract
Number 15032 (OC) to provide Uniforms and Miscellaneous Institutional Clothing for use by State
Agencies and other entities. The State has entered into a Participating Addendum with the Contractor,

WHEREAS the terms of the Contract specifically state that the Contract may be amended per
agreement by both parties. The State of Nebraska wishes to continue to take advantage of existing
contract.
