RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the Street Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department is in need of two (2)
Ford Explorers; and,
WHEREAS, the request for bids titled Ford Explorers, opened on March 22, 2023 and produced
no bids; and,
WHEREAS, Section 5.16 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended, provides for the Council
to authorize the Purchasing Division to make purchases in amounts or quantities and for periods
specified in the resolution, when the Purchasing Division has advertised for formal sealed competitive
bids to be opened but no bids were received; and,
WHEREAS, AFL, LLC dba Anderson Ford of Lincoln submitted a quote in the amount of
$79,978.00 which by this reference, is made a part hereof; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of this purchase, totaling $79,978.00, will be paid from the Street Allocation
Fund 12131, Construction Survey & Inspect Organization 116121, year 2023 funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent be authorized to issue a Purchase
Order to AFL, LLC dba Anderson Ford of Lincoln for the purchase of two (2) Ford Explorers, to be
utilized by the Street Maintenance Division, in the amount of$79,978.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of this purchase from the Street
Allocation Fund 12131, Construction Survey& Inspect Organization 116121, year 2023 funding.
