Councilmember Lormong Lo requests that a resolution be prepared and placed on the Council
agenda for November 23, 1999, identifying the following item to be included in the City of
Omaha's 2000 State Legislative Package. Assistant City Attorney Jo Cavel is familiar with the
request.
1 . Introduce a bill allowing Environmental Trust money generated by the State
Lottery to be used to fund rehabilitation of inner city, government-owned
buildings, structures and improvements.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, on January 5, 2000, the Ninety-Sixth Legislature of the State of
Nebraska, Second Session, will convene; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Omaha and its residents that a
legislative package be prepared for submission to the State Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this resolution to approve a specific proposal for
inclusion in that package.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE, CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, pursuant to the recommendation of Councilmember Lormong Lo, the
legislative package of the City of Omaha for the Second Session of the Ninety-Sixth Legislature
of the State of Nebraska shall include a proposal to amend existing legislation to provide for the
use of funds from the Environmental Trust Fund for rehabilitation of buildings, structures, and
improvements, located in inner city areas and owned by local governments.
