United States and the Constitution of the State of Nebraska, against all enemies, foreign
and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this
obligation freely and without mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will
faithfully and impartially perform the duties of the office of the Interim Metropolitan
Entertainment and Convention Authority according to law and to the best of my ability.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, on October 5, 1999 the City Council passed Ordinance No. 35043
creating an Interim Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority;and,
WHEREAS, the initial membership of the Authority shall be one member appointed
by each of the following: the Mayor, the City Council, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce
("Chamber"), the Omaha Chamber Foundation ("Chamber Foundation") and the Metropolitan
Omaha Convention Sports and Entertainment Authority ("MOCSEA") and confirmed by the City
Council; and;
WHEREAS, the Honorable Hal Daub has appointed John M. Blazek to the Interim
Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority, said term to commence on the date of
confirmation by the City Council and expire two years thereafter.
WHEREAS, John M. Blazek is an elector of Douglas County and resides at 15510
William Street, Omaha,Nebraska.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the appointment of John M. Blazek by the Honorable Hal Daub to the
Interim Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority, said term to commence on the date
of confirmation by the City Council and to expire two years thereafter, is hereby confirmed.
