Transmitted herewith is an Ordinance to amend Special Ordinance No. 9948, levying a special tax
assessment for weed removal in the year 1998.
The property was purchased by the City Parks Department prior to the property being assessed. We
do not assess City property. The Finance Department desires to remove the assessment and clear
the lien from the property records.
Your consideration and approval of the attached Ordinance is requested.

AN ORDINANCE to amend certain portions of Special Levy Ordinance No. 9801 levying
assessments to cover the charge for demolition of condemned buildings or structures in the
year 1991 by repealing the assessments on various Additions to the City of Omaha, Douglas
County,Nebraska.
WHEREAS, Special Levy Ordinance No. 9801 was passed by the City Council of the City of
Omaha on September 17, 1991 levying special assessments to cover the charge for
demolition of condemned buildings or structures on certain lots in the City of Omaha, and
it has been ascertained that the assessment on the following described property in the amount
so levied by Special Ordinance No. 9801 should be repealed. The Land Reutilization
Commission acquired the property before the charge for demolition of condemned buildings
or structures was assessed.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That such portions of Special Ordinance No. 9801,passed September 17, 1991,
relating to and levying the special assessment to cover the charge for demolition of condemned
buildings or structures upon the following described property:

structures was assessed.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect fifteen days from and after
its passage.
