Transmitted herewith is a BID TABULATION and a RESOLUTION authorizing the Purchasing
Agent to issue a Purchase Order to Big Bear Equipment for the purchase of six (6) 2000 Jacobsen
light weight fairway mowers, Model LF-3400, one (1) right-mount spare reel, and one (1) left-
mount spare reel, for the Golf Division of the Parks,Recreation and Public Property Department.

$129,300.00 from Golf Fund No. 510, Agency No. 120, Organization No. 1252, and Object 4010,
Construction Maintenance Equipment.

The contractor has on file a current Annual Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.

2000 Specifications
a=_ Light Weight Fairway Mower
The unit(s) furnished under these specifications shall be current 2000 model year, and
of the latest improved model in current production as commercially offered. Successful
bidder must deliver lightweight fairway mower(s) on or before April 15, 2000
Unit(s) shall be Jacobson/Textron, Toro, or essentially equal in reliability and
performance.
Riding 5-plex, 2-wheel drive, Fairway Mower equal to or exceeding the following
specifications.
Engine: Diesel, 4-cycle, minimum 34 horsepower, maximum 40 horsepower, liquid
cooled, pressurized lubrication. Heavy-duty dry-type air cleaner.
Cooling System/Radiator: Pressurized, industrial tubing, 7.5-quart minimum capacity
system. Fan cooled.
Lubrication: Pressurized system, minimum 4-quart system with replaceable full-flow
spin-on filtration cartridge.
Fuel System: Diesel, minimum 10-gallon capacity.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bias were received on January 12, 2000, for the purchase of six (6)
2000 Jacobsen light weight fairway mowers, Model LF-3400, one (1) right-mount spare reel, and
one (1) each left-mount spar reel, for the Golf Division of the Parks, Recreation and Public
Property Department; and,
WHEREAS, Bi Bear Equipment submitted the best bid, within bid specifications,
for the purchase of the mowers and reels in the total amount of$129,300.00 ($21,269.00 for each
mower and$843.00 for each reel); and,
WHEREAS, Big Bear Equipment has complied with the City's Contract Compliance
Ordinance No. 28885 in relation to Civil Rights -Human Relations; and,
WHEREAS,the Mayor has recommended acceptance of this bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the bid for six (6) 2000 Jacobsen light
weight fairway mowers, Model LF-3400, one (1) right-mount spare reel, and one (1) left-mount
spare reel, in the total amounit of $129,300.00 ($21,269.00 for each mower and $843.00 for each
reel) from Big Bear Equipment, being the lowest and best bid received, within the bid
specifications, attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted, and the Purchasing Agent
is authorized to issue a purchase order in conformance herewith. Funds in this amount shall be paid
from Golf Fund No. 510, Agency No. 120, and Organization Capital No. 1252, and Object No.
4010,Construction Maintenance Equipment.
