• Leadership and coordination of a process to restructure the council board of directors which added
a working committee structure, revised bylaws and increased board member annual giving to 100%

• Leadership to the development of a marketing and communication plan which supported the
membership Increase and resulted in a 60% Increase in media coverage of Council programs and
activities.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, there now exists a vacancy on the Personnel Board; and,
WHEREAS, Section 6.04 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter, 1956, as amended,
provides for the appointment to said agency; and,
WHEREAS, Edward Jaksha was appointed to the Personnel Board to serve until
June 11, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, said term has expired; and,
WHEREAS, the Honorable Hal Daub has appointed Ms. Deborah J. Keating to
the Personnel Board, said term to commence on the date of confirmation by the City Council and
to expire five years thereafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, the appointment by the Honorable Hal Daub of Ms. Deborah J. Keating to
serve on the Personnel Board, said term to commence on the date of confirmation by the City
Council and to expire five years thereafter, is hereby confirmed.
