Honorable President •
and Member of the City Council,
The attached proposed Resolution amends a Supportive Housing Program. Grant Agreement
approved on June 23, 1998 by Resolution 173 , between the City of Omaha and the US
Department of Housing and Urban Development for Fiscal Year 1997 Continuum of Care
Supportive Housing Funding in the amount of $172,880.00 (Fund 190, Agency 200,
Organization 8013). Mercy Housing Midwest receives these funds as a subrecipient and uses
them for a project called "Harrington Homes Transitional Housing," a project that provides safe
and affordable housing, case management, and supportive services for homeless families with
children. This amendment permits the transfer of this grant to a new project sponsor, the
Salvation Army (Organization 8010), replacing Mercy Housing Midwest (Grant Number
NE26B970101, Fund 190, FY 1997, Agency 200).
We urge your favorable consideration of this Resolution.
Sincerely, Referred to C. y ounci for onsideration: •
