the 1/4 block of sewer line south of the tunnel to be abandoned. Since there are no connections on
this sewer south of the tunnel/sewer intersection, no negative impact is created. The UNMC
apartments located approximated 1 block south of 41st Street and Dewey Avenue connect into a
separate sewer, which flows south toward Leavenworth.
4. Emile Street, between 42"d & 41st Street: Two 6" PVC medium voltage conduits and two 4"
PVC communications conduit will be installed across Emile St. These conduits will connect into
existing UNMC manholes located on the north side of Emile Street. These conduits are expected
to be direct bored under Emile Street and the UNMC parking garage. The garage is located on the
SE corner of 42"d Street and Emile Street intersection.
5. 42"d Street,3/4 of a block south of Emile Street: Four 6" PVC medium voltage conduits and two
4" PVC communications conduit will be installed across 42nd St. These conduit will be direct
bored under 42nd Street.
6. East side of 42"d Street, 3/4 of a block south of Dewey Avenue: Although not a new installation
an 80' of existing UNMC 8" chilled water supply/return mains will be replaced with 14" mains.
The existing mains are located approximately under the sidewalk on the east side of 42"d Street.
The attached drawing illustrates the proposed utility crossing locations. The University of Nebraska owns
all property immediately adjoining any of these utility crossing sites. Additionally, other planned
potential construction activities, beyond the scope of this project, that are in the immediate vicinity of the
construction area are also shown for your convenience. Please review the information contained in this
letter for action as appropriate. If there is another action or additional information required from UNMC,
