The attached Resolution approves the contract with Swain Construction, Inc., as recommended by
the Mayor, for RSR 01-7,being Leavenworth Neighborhood Residential Street Rehabilitation area
bounded by 30ti' Street to 33r1 Street from Leavenworth Street to Mason Street.
The following bids were received on August 15, 2001. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

The contractor has on file a current Annual.Contract Compliance Report Form(CC-1). As is City
policy, the Human Relations Director will review the contractor to ensure compliance with the
Contract Compliance Ordinance.
The Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of RSR 01-7 from the Residential Street
Rehabilitation Organization 1441, City Street Maintenance Fund 102, Agency 140, year 2001
funding in the amount of$91,714.97 and from the Storm Sewer Construction Organization 1510,
Fund 389, Agency 140, year 2001 funding in the amount of$91,714.98.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Swain Construction,Inc.,
in the amount of $183,429.95, being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your
consideration and approval of this Resolution.
