Transmitted herewith is a Resolution approving Amendment Number 7 to the Agreement for
engineering services with Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, Inc. to provide construction
observation, construction staking and environmental services for demolition and site grading for
the Gallup University Redevelopment Project. The original Agreement was approved by the
City Council by Resolution No. 1471 on June 6,2000.
Lamp, Rynearson has agreed to perform the additional services for $394,293.00. A revised
Scope of Work is included in the Agreement. All other provisions of the original agreement
shall remain in full force and effect. The costs incurred will be paid from the year 2001 Gallup
University Riverfront Redevelopment Project, Fund 368, Agency 195, Organization 1190 in the
amount of$394,293.00. The City intends to issue Redevelopment Bonds to fund this project.
Lamp Rynearson has filed the required Annual Contract Compliance Report Form CC-1, in the
Human Relations Department. As is City policy, the Human Relations Director will review the
consulting firm to determine its compliance.
The Public Works Department requests your consideration and approval of the attached
Resolution and Amendment Number 7 to the Agreement.

AMENDMENT NO. 7
TO
ENGINEERING AGREEMENT
OMAHA CONVENTION CENTER/ARENA
GALLUP UNIVERSITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA
This Amendment, entered into as of this 4' day of (Qctabfix• , 2001 modifies the
Agreement dated June 14, 2000 by and between the firm of Lamp, Rynearson &Associates, Inc.,
a corporation of the State of Nebraska, with offices at 14710 West Dodge Road, Suite 100,
Omaha, Nebraska 68154-2029 and hereinafter referred to as the "Consultant", and the City of
Omaha, Nebraska, hereinafter, referred to as the "City".
The City and Consultant agree to the modifications as set forth below:
CHANGES TO THE SCOPE OF SERVICES (EXHIBIT A)
The Scope of Services for the Construction Administration Phase of the project is revised to include
construction administration services for Gallup Demolition and Site Grading - Phase I. Services
will include contract administration, construction observation, and construction staking. A detailed
breakdown of tasks and estimated hours associated with these construction administration services
is shown on the attached addition to Exhibit.A.
The Scope of Environmental Services for the Gallup University Redevelopment project is revised
to include services associated with preparation of a wetlands mitigation plan necessary to secure
the 404 Permit for the project, and consultation and monitoring during the Phase I Demolition and
Site Grading project.
SECTION VI. FEES AND PAYMENTS
Section VI is revised to include a "Not-to-Exceed" amount of$291,753 for Gallup Demolition and
Site Grading - Phase I. A schedule of estimated hours and hourly charge rates for the additional
services is shown on the attached addition to Exhibit B-2.
Section VI is revised to increase the "Not-to-Exceed" amount for Environmental Services for the
Gallup University Redevelopment project from $258,180 to $328,780.
Section VI is also revised to increase the estimated amount of direct non-salary costs for design
phase services from$325,697 to$343,697 and for construction administration phase services from
$171,559 to $185,499. A tabulation of additional direct non-salary costs associated with the
additional services is shown on the attached addition to Exhibit B-2.
All other provisions of the Agreement between City and Consultant dated June 14, 2000 shall
remain in full force and effect.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
. WHEREAS, construction management services are needed for the construction of
the Gallup University Redevelopment site; and,
WHEREAS, Lamp Rynearson&Associates, Inc. has an Agreement to provide for
design professional services for the project which was adopted by Resolution No. 1471 on June
6, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, Lamp Rynearson & Associates, Inc. has agreed to perform the
services listed in the attached Amendment No. 7 to the Agreement, which by this reference is
made a part hereof, for a fee of $394,293.00, which will be paid from the year 2001 Gallup
University Riverfront Redevelopment Project, Fund 368, Agency 195, Organization 1190 in the
amount of$394,293.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department does not have sufficient staff to
undertake this project at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, Amendment No. 7 to the Engineering Services Agreement with Lamp,
Rynearson & Associates, Inc. for construction management services for construction
observation, construction staking and environmental services for demolition and site grading for
the Gallup University Redevelopment Project, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay $394,293.00 for these
engineering services from the year 2001 Gallup University Riverfront Redevelopment Project,
Fund 368, Agency 195, Organization 1190 in the amount of $394,293.00. The City intends to
issue Redevelopment Bonds to fund this project.
