RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department desires to purchase one (1) KSB Sewage Pump
Repair to be utilized by the Sewer Maintenance Division; and,
WHEREAS, due to the specialized nature of this type of equipment and service, it is
recommended that the bidding procedures be waived in accordance with Section 5.16 of the
Home Rule Charter of 1956 for the purchase of unique or non-competitive items; and,
WHEREAS, a quote was received on November 1, 2022 from Quality Flow Systems, Inc. for
one (1) KSB Sewage Pump Repair to be utilized by the Sewer Maintenance Division; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent be authorized to issue a
Purchase Order to Quality Flow Systems, Inc. for the purchase of one (1) KSB Sewage Pump
Repair to be utilized by the Sewer Maintenance Division in the amount of$105,800.00, is hereby
approved;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the Finance Department is authorized to pay the cost of this purchase from the
Sewer Revenue Fund 21121, Interceptor Maintenance Organization 116717, year 2022 funding.
