Vn 2Z J 130 Zf)22 Agenda Date: Department: . ! ./iti Submitter: JI2L C hi )Oh(i -_J CITY OF OMAHA LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER Omaha, Nebraska RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: WHEREAS, on January 4, 2023, the One-Hundred and Eighth Legislature of the State of Nebraska, First Session, will convene; and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Omaha and its residents that a legislative package be prepared for submission to the State Legislature; and, WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this resolution to approve a specific proposal for inclusion in that package. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: THAT, at the request of City Prosecutor and Omaha Police Department, the legislative package of the City of Omaha for the First Session of the One-Hundred and Eighth Legislature of the State of Nebraska shall introduce a bill into legislation to help combat catalytic converter thefts by increasing penalties and putting requirements on metal recycler dealers.
