WHEREAS, on the date of September 5, 1985, there was filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Omaha, a request for an appeal on the Condemnation of a one-
story commercial building, 412 x 54 feet, commonly known as 2807 Florence
Boulevard, located on the property legally described as the West 49.5 feet
and the South 123.25 feet of Lot 39, Millard and Caldwell Addition; and,
WHEREAS, said appeal complies with the requirements as set forth in Section
43-125 Appeal Procedure of Division 5 of Unsafe Buildings of General Ordinance
of the City of Omaha, adopted April 9, 1985; and,
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Omaha, as directed by Section 43-125
Appeal Procedure of Division 5 of Unsafe Buildings of General Ordinance of
the City of Omaha, adopted April 9, 1985, has set Tuesday, October 8, 1985,
as the date of Hearing on the Appeal of Condemnation of the above mentioned
property.
THEREFORE, You as Owner, Lessee, Mortgagee of Record, or Occupant of such
building are hereby notified to appear in the Legislative Chambers, Level LC,
Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. on q.he
above mentioned date to show cause why such building or structure should not
remain condemned as a nuisance and ordered torn down.

REMARKS: The structure was carded on 3/1/82 . The owner was Harold' s Liquor
Store. At the time, this was an unfinished building and open. A
hearing was held on 4/15/82 and a layover was granted. Om"; 5/20/82
the building was secured and the case was filed but not decarded.
On 11/9/84 the structure was found to be open again. On 4/4/85 the
structure was resecured. At the hearing on May 23 , the case was
laid-over until August 22 , 1985 . On August 22 , 1985 the structure
was condemned for being open and the brick falling above the west
door constituted a hazard.
